1. Collection and Use of Information
Our main objectives in collecting personal information is to provide you with the product and services made available through ThaiChat, including, but not limited to, the service, to communicate with you and to manage your registered account, if you have one.
2. Information requested during registration
If you wish to have access to certain restricted areas of the site, you will be required to become a registered user and provide some sensitive data to ThaiChat. This can take place in some cases such as, for example, if you wish to become a writer. The sensitive data that we may collect includes the IP address, full user name, password, email, address, time zone, telephone number and other information that you decide to provide us with and to include in the public profile and in the map.

Your full name and your picture, if you decide to upload one, and any other information can be viewed by the people in the ThaiChat network to allow you to connect with others on ThaiChat, as specified in our privacy settings. Once you’re a member, you can provide additional information in the profile section including, but not limited to, your bio, your location, as well as your personal website if you have one. Providing additional information in addition to what’s required when registering is entirely optional, but it allows you to better identify yourself and find new friends and opportunities in the ThaiChat system. If you activate the options via Facebook, we will collect the information from your Facebook account. You will receive notifications via email on your account in a number of cases, such as when ThaiChat users begin to follow you or send you a message. If you contact us by email through ThaiChat, we can keep track of your contact information and correspondence, and we may use your email address, and any information you provide us with in your message, to reply. We may use your contact information for market ads, and to provide you with information about our products and services, including, but not limited to, our newsletter service. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such information or communications from us, please follow the instructions provided in all communications to unsubscribe.
4. Information sharing and disclosure
We reserve the right to delegate trusted third parties to carry out functions and provide services on our behalf, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, customer relations, retention and database management, and direct marketing campaigns. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to carry out these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to binding contractual obligations requiring such third parties to maintain the privacy and security of your data.
ThaiChat collaborates with government and law forces or private entities to apply and enforce the law. ThaiChat may sell, transfer or share some or all of its assets/activities, including your personal information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets/activities or in the event of bankruptcy.
5. Modify or delete information
If you are a registered ThaiChat user you can access and update or correct the information you have provided using your profile form.
ThaiChat cares a great deal about safeguarding the confidentiality of your personal information. We implement administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. We will provide any information legally requested with respect to any breach of security, confidentiality, or integrity of your personal information that is encrypted and stored electronically via email or publications on this site as soon as possible, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and with the aim of taking the necessary steps to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

ThaiChat contains links to other websites. The fact that we link to a website is not an endorsement, authorization or representation of our affiliation with that third party. We have no control over third party websites and cannot be held in any way responsible if these other sites insert their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or ask you for your personal information. Other sites apply different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you have submitted to them. 8. Our policy towards children
ThaiChat is not for minors under 18 years of age. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has given us sensitive data without their consent, they are kindly asked to contact us. We do not collect personal information from minors under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a minor under the age of 18 has provided us with sensitive data, the data will be deleted from our database.
